Annah Mason is a writer and editor in the social sector. Her early career as a business journalist led to programmatic work centered on economic opportunity for women. She helped build social enterprises around the world — from the first social enterprise for women in downtown Los Angeles to programs in northern Uganda and Mexico City — supporting communities and sharing stories of transformation.
She went on to write about social change for nearly a decade at the Skoll Foundation, as part of a dynamic communications and creative services team amplifying the work of global change leaders who are advancing social and environmental justice.
The oldest daughter of an artist and architect, Annah grew up around creative energy. She became interested in the natural striving of people and societies, and in the social order we create for mutual benefit.
Her work is driven by this value of reciprocity, as well as training and coursework in journalism, psychology, and law. Additionally, she sees the world through the lenses of womanhood and queerness.
Annah lives in New York’s Hudson Valley, the ancestral lands of the Mohican, Lenape, and Munsee people, alongside her friends, neighbors, and a dog named Kitty.
